Review: Jack Reacher

This movie was great. I enjoyed Tom Cruise in yet another action packed film. I have been a lover of most of Tom Cruise’s films and this is definitely one I loved. It has great fight scenes and an interesting yet unfortunate story. I have not read the book this movie was based upon but seeing this film makes me interested in reading it. Not only is the action up to par but the lines were pretty funny as well. One liners like “maybe you shouldn’t play with guns” and “remember you asked for this” create such a comical and smart ass dialogue. The fight scenes were well choreographed and rehearsed. They were so quick and impacting it made me feel like I was watching martial arts mixed with plain street fights. These details make the skills of post military characters much more believable.

Being a fan of Tom Cruise the actor made this movie very desirable. Of course they could have used a different actor but most of the time Tom Cruise within an action film just fits right. I’m sure I would feel different if I had read the book, but being uninformed i continue. Tom Cruise does as well as he always does. Creating a bad ass no nonsense type of military man who always saves the day without actually being the hero. He might be getting older but he still has what it takes to fight and be apart of a WONDERFUL car chase. If you do not share some love for Tom Cruise then I would still recommend this movie. Although he is the main character the supporting actors like Robert Duvall, Richard Jenkins and Jai Courtney round out the cast nicely. Definitely a Must See and Must Buy.
